Version 1.1.1
Narrator update
TripQuest 1.1.1 adds a built-in narrator that reads questions, prompts, clues, and stories aloud — entirely offline, no internet required. This makes it easier for the driver or a front-seat player to manage the game hands-free while everyone listens.
- Narrator — a speaker button now appears in every play mode. Tap it to have TripQuest read the current card aloud, including questions, choices, prompts, and clues.
- Voice selection — choose your preferred narrator voice from Settings. Any English voices installed on your device are available, with enhanced (higher quality) voices highlighted.
- Speed control — a slow, normal, and fast speed control appears alongside the speaker button in every mode so you can adjust on the fly.
- Multiple choice narration — for Trivia and True or False, choices are read aloud individually with a natural pause between each one.
- Backseat Stories narration — after revealing a story, the narrator reads it aloud. Player-provided words are spoken at a higher pitch and slower pace so they stand out from the surrounding story text. Player-provided words are also now highlighted in gold with an underline on screen.
- Trip Mode narrator — the narrator works inside Trip Mode too, reading each round's content including trivia questions, Would You Rather choices, True or False statements, and Animal Guess clues.
- Trip Mode balance — adjusted Trip Mode activity weights so Trivia and True or False each appear three times as often as What Animal Am I?, giving the session a better variety and pacing.
Version 1.1
Community Content update
TripQuest 1.1 adds a new way for players to help shape the game. This update introduces the free Community Content pack, where selected player-submitted questions, prompts, clues, and stories may appear in future updates.
This release also adds a new content submission page, making it easier to send in family-friendly ideas for TripQuest. You can choose whether to be credited in the game if your submission is selected.
We also cleaned up pack naming, improved content labeling, and made small updates across the app and website to better support future community-created content.
